How to prepare Gajar ka Halwa


Gajar Halwa


Ingredients of Gajar Halwa :-

Carrots, grated         :     1 kg
Milk                    :     1½ kg
Mawa                    :     125 Gms
Sugar                   :     1¾ cup
Green cardamom powder   :     1¼ tsp
Poppy seeds             :     11½ tbsp
Ghee                    :     4 tbsp
Almonds, chopped        :     8-10
Cashew nuts, chopped    :     8-10
Raisins                 :     10-15

Method of Gajar Halwa :-

1.    Heat milk in a pan. Add grated carrots in milk and cook till milk is fully absorbed by carrots.

2.    Add ghee, poppy seeds and cook for 10 minutes.

3.    Add sugar, cardamom powder, almonds, cashew nuts, raisins and cook for 5 minutes.

4.    Add mawa, mix well and cover the pan with lid and cook for 10 minutes.

5.    Serve hot gajar halwa.



Its really very yummy my mom and my nani maa always cook for me and i love it very much and i hope all of you like it very much.
